Shelters

The first Shelter in Logan County was formed in 2003 and it was the Light House Shelter for Women with a focus on Family.  The Lighthouse shelter is filled 90% of the time between cleaning and current clients. Of those who are homeless church said  38% suffer from alcohol abuse, 26% have drug use problems, 39% have mental health issues, and 48 live with chronic illness. These statistics motivated the shelters to be a point of connection to churches, agencies, and individuals who promote spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness, as well as a shelter and sanctuary. Then in 2015 with such a great need, The board of directors began searching for another location to focus on single men. After renovations finished in October 2016 the Damascus Mens Shelter opened. To keep this ministry running we need your help with providing funds  to keep the shelters running.
